Bballin' Queen
So my goal for today was to get my blog posted before anyone else (since I am getting crap for my lack of blogging :) It appears that I may be the winner.....yes.
Yesterday my case of the Mondays was successfully cured by some last minute pick-up basketball. We actually had a good turn-out and decided to play some 3-on-3 boys against girls. The boys won the first couple of games, but then my recruiting skills came into play. I saw a girl watching on the sideline who looked like a total baller. Needless to say I invited her to play, she did (after whipping up on Timmy), and we won. Go ladies!
At dinner I had the misfortune of being informed of all the inaccuracies of my blog entry yesterday, mainly that Xema is spelled Zema and Bar Trail is actually Barr Trail. "Information that could have been good to know YESTERDAY!" haha
I think that Xema is a better spelling though, so I may stick to it.
After dinner we (Dan the man, the "quacker" and I) decided to play some more rounds of 21. It was beautiful outside and none of us really wanted to go inside. Dan has been renamed Frank the Tank for his innate ability to plow through anything that stands between him and the basket. The quacker and I were trying to maintain some dignity and not lose with zero points on the board. After Dan the man killed us in several games I finally managed to win one so my night was a success! Needless to say we were all quite exhausted and I did not make it to the gym this morning.
So I have also been told that my sappy last paragraphs are a little depressing, so I will try to keep those to a minimum for your viewing pleasure.
Guilty pleasure of the week: Although I tell people I am reading a western novel, I am really reading a romance story, although it is set in the west so technically that is not totally a lie...there, the secret's out!
Movie I still want to see: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Song I still need to get on a cd: Lose Control by Missy Elliot
Random thought: Why are Colorado drivers so terrible. Every day there are a ton of wrecks in this darn-tootin' town. How does a whole city/state learn to drive so poorly? I don't understand.
